[Discussion] VAC Banned

Hi all first of I am not whining about being banned simply discussing VAC.
Now I have played CS-GO for a long time about 2k hours over many accounts now my main account was hijacked a while ago and during the time waiting for steam to reset it and give it back to me it was VAC banned but steam/valve wont even help me in the fact that I wasnt the one that did the hacking.. So my question is should you keep a VAC ban even if it was someone who hijacked your account?
